Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Barabanki is a boarding school near Sonikpur, Barabanki, India. JNVBBK is funded by the Indian Ministry of Human Resources Development.HistoryThe school was established in 1992 in the campus of Jahangeerabad Barabanki by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous body that comes under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development New Delhi. Navodaya Vidyalaya was the dream child of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, the ex-prime minister of India. The school shifted to its own 125acres campus in a hilly area of Sonikpur in 1998.The founder HRD Minister Shri Arjun Singh formatted the school in such a way that it continues to be the Jewel of Barabanki district.CampusThe school stands on a 125acres campus near Sonikpur village and very near to Town Haidergarh. The west side of campus has greenery area.
