Srila Prabhupada Soldiers, Malda 5.05

ISKCON Malda is situated at English Bazar (Malda, West Bengal, India) near about 250 km north from Mayapur, India. Malda is the place where three of our six Goswamis used to live and Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Nityanada Prabhu & Advaita Acharya came. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took rest during his Vrindavana yatra (Journey to Vrindavana) in a ground, situated in this town. so, this ground is named as Vrindavani Math ( In local Bengali language māth means ground). Near Malda town is Ramkeli Dham, which is the meeting place of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with Srila Rupa Goswami and Srila Sanatana Goswami. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came here with lakhs of devotees chanting the holy name of the Lord, dancing and performing Harinam Sankirtan all the way to deliver Rupa & Sanatan Goswami. Madan Mohan deities which were worshiped by Srila Sanatana Goswami, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's footprints, the sacred Tamal and Kadamba tree ( known as Keli Kadamba ), Radha & Shyam Kunda, Lalita Kunda, Rup Sagar, a ten foot tall open deity of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is situated here. Srila Jiva Goswami installed a deity of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu which is still worshiped here. Every year in Jaishtha sankranti (in the month of May & June) a week long fair is held to commemorate the arrival of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. This fair is attended by many devotees from far off places. Each year a big chariot festival is done in Malda town in the special occasion of Jagannath Dev Ratha Yatra Festival.
