Institute of Professional Studies And Research (IPSAR) – started as an endeavor in 1988 by Dr. R.N. Misra – a visionary educationist of Orissa in the field of Management and Cost Accountancy. In less than two decades IPSAR has evolved into eastern India’s premier management institute. Effective governance and quality education from the very start has resulted in the Institute becoming a Group of Educational Institutions in the state of Orissa. From the very beginning faculty governance, student discipline, academic ambience, ever modernization in infrastructural support, value added programmes, focused approach for all round personality development have all contributed in IPSAR establishing a brand equity in the field of professional education. Started on a humble rented accommodation at Cuttack, it has now the pride of having three campuses in the heart of Cuttack city – CDA with a build up area of more than 125000 sq ft. IPSAR is now become a leading group of educational institution.

IPSAR is located in Cuttack – the millennium city of Orissa has a proud history of rich culture, business, silver works and educational institutions. The bustling city with a population of more than 1.5 million is the central trading house of commodities. Cuttack surrounded by three rivers is encircled by a ring road connecting to Kolkata and Rourkela to the east and west respectively with Visakhapatna and Bhubaneswar on the south.

IPSAR, a premier B-School operating in Eastern India at sliver City Cuttack, got recognition from AICTE in September 1993. IPSAR has an approved intake of 120 for its Full Time MBA programme and an intake of 60 seats for its Part Time 3 year MBA programme for working executives under affiliation to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology(BPUT).
