Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Chidambaram, India 2.81

It was shifted to Railway Feeder road by 1962 and it's still functional from the same location. The school reached its heights of achievements in 1970's.
S.S.L.C state first in 1975, State second in 1976 are some of notable feats. In 1979 it started English as a medium of educating . It also achieved subject total first in Higher Secondary in 1986. Apart from that mostly students from this school would be the top scorers in both S.S.L.C and Higher Secondary exams at Cuddalore District every year, compared to other Government Schools.
