Farook Educational Society is an offshoot of an educational body organized by a group of visionary leaders’ way back in 1982. They started a nursery school with 12 students in a rented building in a humble manner which was highly applauded by the society as a timely venture. It was at a time when the entire district was under the grip of abject illiteracy and rampant socio-economic backwardness. The success and acceptance of such an educational institution and subsequently, the support of the public at large eventually lead to the formation of a democratic educational body called Farook Educational Society with the specific objective of establishing and managing various educational institutions that befit to the socio economic framework of the region. In spite of heavy odds, with fits and starts the society established many educational institutions ranging from pre-primary to a Bed centre. The reputation of Farook educational institutions in its stride finally brought the name ‘Farook Kottakkal’ into wide currency.

The official formation of the society under the visionary leadership of late Dr Ibrahim Haji, an illustrious educationist and philanthropist, who have dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in education, was the Founder Chairman of the Society. The members of the Society were distinguished people drawn from industry, business, education, administration and from different socio-political, religious organizations. Farook educational society recognizes that people are the cornerstone of our success and that their contributions, intellect and creative ability have made us what we are. The Society provided a supportive learner environment that promotes initiative, hard work, team-spirit and a passion for excellence. As an organization, we constantly strive to develop human resource in all our institutions – in terms of enhancement of individual and team skills – through focused training, development programs.

With the aim of providing top quality education the society has maintained high academic standards and has successfully provided leverage and inspiration to many organizations around to start educational institutions of similar nature.
