Eluru - The City of Helapuri 4.83

Eluru is a city in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and district headquarters of West Godavari district. Urban agglomeration population is about 3 lakhs. Eluru was earlier called as Helapuri and was part of Vengi, which was the capital city of Salankayana, Vishnukudina, and Eastern Chalukyan Kingdoms from 300 B.C to 1100 B.C.
