In 2014, the board members met and put forth the following strategic vision for the EDC 10 years into the future. EDC have been havily involved with structural design of commercial, residential, institutional
and industrial buildings. To ensure safety and durability of the structurewe make sure that the specific building design codes are stictly followed.

In 2018, the EDC will be:
A unique, fully engaged consultancy with a strong identity;
Recognized for the contribution to the
economic and sustainable use of resources,
the use of innovative technologies, and the creation of inspiring structures.

Technology
Strategic Issue: Design methods have been slow to evolve to adequately meet the needs of a work in which computations are routinely done with advanced software.

Desired Outcomes: Fully leverage the computational ability of technology and develop new learning methodologies that glean wisdom and experience from its use. Drive the technology changes needed to creatively advance structural engineering.
