Deverakonda Subbiah memorial (DSM) Society, Ongole was established on 1/09/ 2009 on the memory of my grandfather and We have taken few initiatives like 50% reduction in the nominal fee on 1st of every month in outpatient services, and in all diagnostic services including endoscopy and colonoscopy required for the patients belonging to BPL families. Every month second Saturday free Hepatitis B and C screening tests have been conducting for the last 8 years. Hepatitis B Vaccination is being administered to the adolescence and adults with the 50% of its actual cost. Physically handicapped patients have been given concession of Fifty Percent in nominal fee and other diagnostic fee as well as for treatment cost throughout the year
Till date we have conducted 126 free mega Health camps and same number of health education and awareness camps on various Gastrointestinal and Liver disorders. In each camp first health awareness camps to public followed by free medical camps were organized. About 42000 cases were clinically examined and medicines were also distributed with free of cost. Hepatitis B and C screening tests were conducted for 8600 patients and 3400 people received Hepatitis B vaccination.

1. Seva Ratna Award was given by Honorable Governor of Tamilnadu for the provision remarkable health services to the poor and drown trodden public of the Prakasam District
2. Received the best NGO award from District Collector on Republic day ( 26th Jan 2015) for providing the excellent services to the common public in the field of gastroenterology and liver diseases
