I believe education, motivation and empowerment help my patients make informed choices and lifestyle changes. I give high priority to understanding the patient's barriers to change. While chronic conditions may not have cures yet; we can do much better at improving our priorities to regain charge of our lives. I love it when a patient needs less medication because they have achieved better health through sustainable lifestyle change! I practice evidence based medicine based on current US standards and am interested in quality of care improvement.
My practice interests include:
-Mindful eating: a mindfulness concept to break free from dieting and overeating.
