Satguru Ravidass Ji our Universally revered guru ji, was born into the house of Father Santokh dass Ji and Mother Kalsi devi Ji at the sacred village of Seer Govardhapur Varanasi. After much research Satgur Swami Shri 108 Sant Sarwan Dass Ji Maharaj of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, a unique and far sighted Holy Saint of the 20th Century, constructed a beautiful seven storey Shri Guru Ravidass Janam Asthan Mandir at the acual birth place of our revered Shri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. The foundation stone of this temple was laid by his associate Saint Shri 108 Sant Hari Dass Ji Maharaj on 14 June 1965. The responsibility of constructing the Temple was intrusted to Satguru Garib Dass Ji, which he accomplished very succesfully. Shri 108 Sant Niranjan Dass Ji is currently the present master of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, In addition has the duty of Chairmanship of Shri Guru Ravidass Janam Sthan Charitable trust. He has purchased many plots of land on which a spacious langar hall and dham in Guru Ravidass Ji's name has been build. In addition to the golden kalshes were installed on the domes of the Kanshi temple, Golden chatters were installed on the Idol of Satguru Ravidass Ji. Today it is the pride <--of the Ravidassia that the Shri Guru Ravidass Janam Asthan Mandir's main tomb has been covered in 24 carat gold. This was inaugurated on 30 Jan 2010 by His Holiness Shri 108 Sant Niranjan Dass Ji Maharaj in presence of Great saints from all over India and its sampardays as well as many hundred and thousands pilgrims from all over the world gathered in Varanasi UP. We are proud to confirm our religion is Ravidassia and we have our own Religious Granth called Amrit Bani Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji. This year the 633rd birth anniversary of Satguru Ravidass Ji was celebrated by devotees from all around the world at Kanshi Banaras with much devotion under the patronage of Satguru Niranjan Dass JI the current gaddi nashin of Dera Sachkhand Ballan and Chairman of Shri Guru Ravidass Janam Sthan Public Charitable Trust. A special Begumpura Express train as in previous years was booked for the convenience of the thousands of travelling pilgrims.
