Dantewada District, Chhattisgarh 5.48

people living in this area, is an incarnation of Shakti. Dantewada is believed to be one among the 52 sacred Shakti pithas of the Hindu Mythology.

District Dakshin Bastar Dantewada has been carved out of the erstwhile Bastar District on 25th May 1998. District has been further bifurcated in the yeasr 2007 and 2012 resulting in New Districts Bijapur and Sukma respectively
