about us

Chakor Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan (CGSS), Gursahaiganj (Kannauj) is an Implementing Agency under ‘Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industry’ (SFURTI Programme) of Khadi & Village Industries Commission, under Ministry of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India. The name says it all, as Sewa Sansthan means it is an organization for the people, by the people and to serve people. This organization was established in 2002-03, the stepping stone of this organization was kept by khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Govt. of India, under the management of Mr. Mukesh Kumar Arya with a team of 10 members.
In continuation, more than 500 women Artisans were trained under Agarbatti training and Skill Development Programs since 2008. The organization has also arranged an educational tour for Artisans/Entrepreneur/other service providers to ‘Gaya’ (Bihar) to know the better operating practices of Agarbatti Industry, as Gaya is a major raw sticks (Un-Perfumed Agarbatti) producer in India. Today, near about 500 families including 30 SHG (self-help group mostly women) are attached directly or indirectly with Chakor Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan. Our organization has provided employment to women artisan and a way to earn monthly income for economic and social life during the world wide depression. It was all possible with the help of Agarbatti Cluster Development Program (ACDP)’ namely ‘Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industry (SFURTI) Programme under Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC). Our organization will keep on helping the artisans for their lifetime with your collaboration with us.
