Bhil Seva Mandal Dahod 3.21

When east Panchmahal was reeling under the effects of the devastating famine of 1918 and 1919 Late Shri Sukhdevbhai Trivedi initiated efforts to save the helpless tribals and appealed servants of India Society for help. At the instance of Mahatma Gandhiji,Amrutlal V. Thakkar came to Dahod and on seeing the pathetic condition ofthe tribals, he felt pity for them and in 1923 laid the foundation for tribal welfare activities and eastablished the Bhil Seva Mandal. Shri A.V.Thakkar is affectionately known '' THAKKAR BAPA ''.
