Bengaluru Theatre Ensemble is a theatre group from Bangalore which aims to provide as much variety as possible, with shows ranging from Shakespeare, Brecht and historical plays, to modern comedies and new writing, with the musical or pantomime in-between. BTE is a group with the overriding aims of providing thought provoking, accessible theatre to those who would not usually have the chance of participating; along with asking questions about the world in which we live. BTE is committed to bringing theatre to the widest possible audience. We provide a truly intimate home for the audience to experience meaningful stories. Initiatives which enable BTE’s work to reach an ever-growing range of theatgoers include moving successful plays in Kannada and sowing the seed of theatre interest among the common man.We foster a nurturing environment for artists to take risks and create essential work.
