It was in the year 1987 that Dr K G Alexander, had a dream and a vision - to make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to all. And thus was born Baby Memorial Hospital (BMH) which revolutionized the very concept of healthcare in Kerala. Baby Memorial School of Nursing and the College of Nursing were established in 1995 and 2002 respectively. BMH is also currently recognized by The National Board of Examinations for DNB courses in Anesthesiology, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Pediatrics, Plastic and Micro vascular surgery and Urology.

BMH is a tribute to Late. K.C. Varghese (lovingly called 'Baby' by all), father of Dr. K.G. Alexander, Chairman and Chief Physician.
