Arya Central School - ACS 3.92

Arya Central School is an educational institution located at Pattom, the heart of the city of Thiruvananthapuram, India, opposite Vaidyuthi Bhavan on the Pattom-Pottakkuzhi Road. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.[1] It was founded by Shri Krishnanand Acharya and his wife Smt. Gomathi Krishnanand.
The school grew in the 1970s and 1980s under the administration of the Principal Sri N. Sankaran Nair. Mrs. Gayathri Radhakrishnan, daughter of the founders, was later responsible for development of the school. After her death the school is managed by her three daughters:
Mrs Maitreyi Rajesh (senior principal), Mrs Gargi Sanjeev and Mrs Ananthalakshmi Dheerakumar together hold the post of Principal of this institution. Mr Dheera Kumar is the Vice Principal and the managing director is Mr D Unnikrishna Prasad.
The school has a well-developed Library occupying over 1,00,000[clarification needed] books of different languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam and Sanskrit. It also has science and computer books. The school conducts Arya expo every year.[2] The school annual day is celebrated in January.
The school provides variety of sports activities like cricket, football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. Sports day is in November every year. The school provides scope for students in each and every field including arts
