We have started Arogya HomeCare program which is a sister program of Kolkata Medical Emergency System (KMES) which primarily focuses on two types of care seekers:
1. Elderly individuals who are otherwise doing fine but needs to be under proactive care (e.g.: An elderly person staying alone and/or with chronic illness, such as High Blood Pressure/Diabetes etc)
2. Recuperative care of patients discharged from hospital. Patients, if needs any home-based care, while being discharged from hospital can be taken care by us so that when the 'Patient is out of sight', the 'Patient is not out of mind'.
Arogya HomeCare’s primary aim:
• Providing high-touch and quality service at affordable cost, serving all Kolkata Senior Citizens creating a happy and healthy elderly community in Kolkata
• 24 X 7 Coordination Centre retrieves elders to their preferred hospital (decided upon during Planning Session) during medical emergency with the help of Kolkata Medical Emergency System (KMES).
But why Arogya HomeCare (as we have seen a flurry of other HomeCare providers )?

In-fact, initially we (KMES) had planned to tie-up with the existing Home Care providers. But soon we realized that none of them are providing quality and accountable services. Also the services are at-all not affordable, only targeting High-Net-Individuals and up-selling lots of unnecessary, not required services at a huge mark-up.
• We believe that our elders should lead a happy and healthy life in the comfort of their own home within their means.
• Affordable but quality home-care designed for any “patient in need”, as identified by treating physician and/or hospital. Once we obtain confirmation from the hospital/treating physician that the patient can be managed at home, we consult with the hospital/ treating physician and the patient (and his/her relatives who will be financially responsible) to plan for his/her treatment at home.
• The service is provided under a “No profit, No loss” , making our program as the most affordable homecare in India.
• While most Home-Care services shy away from Emergency retrieval due to logistics and accountability issues, we provide assured emergency retrieval to the preferred hospital due to our vast 300+ network of Ambulances.
• Unlike other services, which just retrieve the patient to the Hospital, we follow up with complete end-to-end support and communication with relatives, including providing support for Insurance claims.
• We ensure the patient's continuity of care. We maintain Patient Health Record both physically and digitally. The health records are shared with the Hospital and consulting physician to ensure proper clinical intervention.
• Personalized attention and dedicated Care Manager who coordinates not only medical needs, but personal needs/requirements as well.
• Continuous health monitoring using proprietary medical device aided by internet and communication technology (telehealth, mHealth and eHealth, portable, real time connected medical IoT devices)

• Unlike other Home Care services, we are ably supported by a 1500+ virtual global community of experienced physician’s network also known as ArogyaUDHC. If the Patient wants, his/her case (also known as Patient Journey) is presented to the virtual community completely anonymously in an asynchronous mode (meaning no web based video conference) only if the Primary physician in Kolkata agrees. Due to complete anonymity (where location of patient is also hidden) the advice provided by the virtual community is conflict free.
