Agni Foundation 3.97

Agni Foundation is a non-profit and social organization (reg.no….) based in Chennai, India that works for achieving equalitarian society, by bridging the gaps between the donors and the recipients. Agni Foundation is a philanthropic vision of the students of Agni College of Technology who had founded the organization in 2014 to contribute in creating a society where basic amenities, education and healthcare are accessible to all. Agni Foundation is making immense contribution to society through the projects such as

1. Project Identity-
Creating a new channel of funds to the deserving NGOs by designing, hosting and maintaining websites for free of cost. So far 100 NGOs availed our service.
We have documented the entire website launch function, covering the struggles and challenges the orphans and abandoned elders face on a daily basis. Recorded the interviews of the NGO founders, NGO inmates. Their stories have been made as a short film highlighting their dreams, needs, aspiration and uncertain future.

2. Project Echo :
Project ECHO has been launched with an objective to echo the concern of earth by minimizing the carbon foot print and extend the green cover of the World. Through this project, Agni Foundation intends to create a green revolution in Tamil Nadu. In furtherance of the initiative, during February 2015 Agni Foundation joined hand with the Tamil Nadu State NSS cell, and planted 67000 Saplings in Schools across the 32 districts of Tamil Nadu.

3. Project Freedom:
Agni Foundation provides solution to India’s major intellectual deficit problem due to Illiteracy and lack of professional education that leads to unemployment and poverty. Even many meritorious students in India are not able to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.
Project Freedom identifies the talented students who lack the financial support and identify philanthropists who could sponsor their education at absolute free of cost. The academic year 2015-16 Agni Foundation has extended financial support for the deserving students through “we fund your find” initiative.

4. Project Heart
Admittedly, most of the young creative talents among Orphans go unnoticed with no appreciation / recognition. The poor souls mostly fall prey to depression, drugs and abuse. Project Heart aims to keep the children’s morale high & positive by encouraging them & teaching them some form of ART e.g. Painting, Music, Dance, Yoga, Sports and more.
To search for young creative minds among inmates of various NGOs. We call it-the search of heart in hues. It is our sincere effort to spot the need, dream and hope of NGO inmates through the hues, saturated colours and even blurred lines.We have conducted exhibition of the art works, graffiti and products. The proceeds have gone to the respective organisation & few have also been posted on their websites.
