A2 The Park Chennai 3

The Park introduced the concept of glamorous poolside lounging and dining to the city of Chennai when it opened Aqua on its rooftop in 2002. Over the years Aqua has become a signature at The Park Hotels offering a stylish, lively and fun place to lounge, swim and relax.
To reinvent the interior restaurant at Aqua Chennai; Gunjan Gupta, Product Designer was invited to interpret Aqua as an indoor space. Gunjan Gupta is one of the India’s leading product designers and this is her first interior project.
A2 has an industrial chic atmosphere and reflects deep Aqua colours. All the furniture and elements have been designed by Gunjan Gupta ( WRAP Studio). Classic pieces such as the Potli stools and half kathran sofas punctuate the space. The Beverage Bar and Sushi Bar occupy the central space and are finished with industrial water pipes and distressed wood.
Mirrored blue glass cabinets work as space dividers and service stations showcasing water vessels in brass and terracotta like surahis, matkas etc that have been used to carry water through the ages. The industrial atmosphere is reinforced by the minimalistic lighting which also accentuates the various textures and aesthetics of this space. A stunning video installation by Rajorshi Ghosh, a new media artist captures the essence of Aqua.
A2 boasts of sophisticated world cuisine that offers a light and easy menu with options to either graze or have a full meal. From a variety of sushi and sashimi to small plates of ramen and salad, the menu satisfies all cravings.
The beverage menu features bold international cocktails influenced by notes of Japanese flavours.
