Yakshagana is an art mainly found in the Coastal District and Malenadu Region of Karnataka which has got huge fan following all over the world .Though the Yakshagana art has got huge fan following the artists who entertain us with their Yakshagana performance are not leading a secured life . Therefore ,to encourage and emerge the Yakshagana artists of both Tenku and Badagu side and to financially assist the needy Yakshagana artists , we have founded “YAKSHA DHRUVA PATLA FOUNDATION TRUST” in September 2015 at Kateel which you all must be knowing by now. Your overwhelmed support have made us move further with our Charitable activities. During the inaugural function at “Saraswathi Bhavan “,Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple ,Kateel dated 15-09-2015 the trust has provided monetary benefit of Rs.50,000/-each to Twelve needy artists including Sri Mundkur Jayaram Shetty at Mumbai. Further ,trust has also supported the deceased Yakshagana Artists family members with monetary benefit of Rs.50,000/- and has become a pillar of support to them. The trust has also provided financial assistance to Badaguthittena Bhagavatha Heramajalu Sri Gopala Ganiga who was seriously injured in a road accident and also to Sri Vishwanath Shetty ,Siddakatte who was suffering from severe disease with Rs.25,000/-each.
The trust had also organized a special programme “Yaksha Patla Sambrama “ in Town Hall, Mangalore on 22.05.2016 whereby the trust provided financial assistance of Rs.50,000/-each to Fifteen needy Yakshagana Artists and Rs.50,000/-each to support the families of Late Vasanth Perla & Late Sashi Padukone and to Late Ravi Shringeri & Late Kannimule Ganapathi Bhat at Siddapura .The Trust has also felicitated the deserving Yakshagana Artists Sri Peruvai Narayana Shetty with “PATLA PRASHASTHI” and a monetary assistance amounting Rs.1,00,000/-, Sri Jabber Samo , Sampaje with “YAKSHA GAURAVA” and rewarded him with Rs.10,000/-, and scholarships to deserving merit students .One among them a handicapped student was honoured with a Gold medal for being a topper in his P U C Examination .

On same day the Trust has also organized for a free medical check up to Yakshagana artists and their family, blood donation camp, mediclaim insurance policy to secure their life and conducted various cultural programs such as Yakshagana Saptha Swara, Radha Vilasa, Tulu Yakshagana Thalamadalle and Yakshagana Bayalata.
In addition to this our trust has maintained Corpus Fund to provide the following financial assistance in the forthcoming years
Funds for the social benefits .
Financial Assistance for the purpose of marriage of children of Yakshagana Artists.
Financial Assistance for the purpose of education of children of Yakshagana Artists.
Regarding these ,we are seeking for sponsorship to our Corpus Fund from Individuals. The Donor who donates above one lakh will be become the Trusteeship Member , Rs.10,000/- to Rs.99,999/- as Life Members and Rs.1,000/- to Rs.9,999/- as Ordinary Members of the Trust . From these funds the trust will enlarge its activities.
