ארגון רבני צהר הוקם בשנת 1996 על ידי רבנים מובילים מהציונות הדתית, הפועלים בהתנדבות לקידום זהותה היהודית של מדינת ישראל, מתוך הידברות ושותפות.

ארגון צהר מבוסס על עקרונות של יושרה ונאמנות למדינה, תוך מחויבות להלכה ולמסורת היהודית. ארגון צהר זכה באות הנשיא למתנדב על תרומתו לחברה הישראלית.


Since 1996, Tzohar's national projects have been dramatically successful in thwarting assimilation, enriching Israeli culture with Jewish heritage and unifying Jewish society. Founded upon loyalty to the State of Israel and commitment to Halacha, Tzohar has been leading the revolution for a more Zionist, efficient and inclusive Rabbinate in Israel. Tzohar is a recipient of the prestigious "Presidential Award for Volunteers" in recognition of the national impact of over 1,000 rabbis and women volunteers who are the heart and soul of Tzohar's accomplishment.
