Details

The Public Clinic--Ministry of Health, Terem, known locally as the "Refugee Clinic," was founded in 2008 and provides free or heavily subsidized medical services to refugees and migrant workers who are not covered by the National Health Care system. The clinic`s activity is almost entirely volunteer-based, with volunteer doctors, nurses, students and others from the community or abroad. The clinic is in partnership with Terem, a network of urgent care clinics in Israel.

Most of the clinic`s patients are asylum seekers from Africa or migrant workers who no longer have medical coverage from their workplace. Emergency medicine doctors and paramedics are available at all times during hours of operation. Emergency services are available for all patients at a very low cost, treating all acute conditions. Chronic care and specialty services are also available several times per week.
