Hi, I'm Kate P. self-taught photographer. Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil , I have been artistic and creative. As a child I spent hours upon hours drawing, making music, writing stories and generally living in my own little world --- not much has changed today!

Kate P.hoto Prints is the manifestation of how I see the world through my camera lens. Disillusioned by traditional understandings of photography (the desire to capture a perfect, realistic representation of a scene), I realised I was happiest with my own photography, when it matched how I remembered it in my mind.

My love of colour and form is represented throughout all my photography, and I often find the most meaning in the simplest of subjects. Taking the photo is the first step in the creative process for me. I enjoy spending hours working on photographs at the computer to create a piece of art that represents a new reality. There are few things I like doing more.

Kate P.hoto Prints is about sharing with you, the way I experience my world, through finding art in everyday objects and situations to create photography which traverses a fine line between reality and fantasy.
