Dr. Devorah Schwartz-Arad, Ph.D., DMD
DMD, PhD

Graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem where she completed the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery specialization program (1985). In 1991, she was also awarded a Ph.D. in Cancer Research, Anatomy and Embryology at the Hadassah Ein Kerem School of Dentistry.
She was a senior lecturer at Tel Aviv University and coordinated the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University from 1995 to 2004.
Dr. Schwartz-Arad is qualified to act as a Scientific Council examiner for the Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery qualification examinations. She researches issues relating to bone grafts for the purpose for dental implants, the effects of smoking on the success of implants, and the effect of anxiety on recovery processes after surgery. Over the last 20 years she has published numerous articles on these topics in both international and local journals. She has been an active participant in 100 scientific conferences worldwide and is much in demand as a lecturer in Europe, the United States and Israel.
