Zen Dojo Athenry 2.03

Located on a small organic farm 3 miles from Athenry and 9 miles from Galway city this Dojo provides a quiet and peaceful place to practice.

Opened on 23 July 2012, it is a space for anyone interested in the practice of meditation. People from all spiritual backgrounds or none are welcome.

We practice within the Soto Zen tradition which is of Japanese origin. This type of meditation involves sitting in silence with oneself.
Instruction is available to newcomers on Sunday evenings on the basics of the sitting posture, breathing, and walking meditation.
