Wigoders was established in 1783 and was the first specialist Wallpaper & Paint Retail Business in Ireland.
In 1965, the company was purchased by Mr.A.B. Wojnar. The business was then located in Capel Street, Dublin.
Mr. Wojnar was already a successful businessman, owning a thriving hardware operation Fletcher & Phillipson, also in Dublin.
Wigoders has remained a family owned and managed business following the death of its Chairman, Mr. A.B. Wojnar in 1993. His two sons Christopher & Bernard are joint Managing Directors.
There is a strong staff loyalty and an excellent team spirit. The commitment to customer care is at every level of the operation and particularly in the individual retail stores where Wigoders pride itself in delivering value & service.
Unlike many of the DIY Warehouse Operations, Wigoders specialise in home decorating products, and provide colour consultancy advice from experts. Its this formula of bringing big store value, with smaller store service, to local areas that has made Wigoders so popular and successful.
