Ursuline College Sligo 3.22

Ursuline College Sligo is situated in 4 acres, nestling in the shadows of the majestic Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains adjacent to Finisklin’s Business Park and can be accessed by N4/N16 routes.

It was established in 1850 by the Ursuline Congregation. The Ursuline order was founded by an Italian Angela Merici in the year 1535 in Brescia in Italy. Ursuline College Sligo is one of five Ursuline schools in Ireland.

We are a Catholic all girls’ secondary school under the trusteeship of Le Cheile, where students are educated in partnership with parents in a Catholic and caring community. For over 160 years, our motto Sol Deo Gloria – ‘All for the Glory of God’ and the spirit of education is at the centre of life in our school and we strive to reflect St. Angela’s philosophy in our daily lives.
