Details

Initially a boatbuilder, Simon Hassett's work has included forestry, sawmilling, timber framing and joinery. Presently, at his workshop in West Cork he produces beautiful handmade furniture and bespoke curved and straight staircases to commission.

The Woodworks employs a small number of carefully selected staff with whom Simon works very closely to ensure a consistently high standard. As a result of working to commission the portfolio is highly eclectic reflecting a diversity of experience, materials and styles.

Consummate craftsmanship and attention to detail are foremost in our minds.
Simon's unusually broad range of experience, combined with close attention to customer requirements results in highly original pieces, solidly built with optional turned pieces.
