The Tivoli Institute is involved in education and training primarily in the area of counselling, humanistic psychotherapy, integrative psychotherapy, personal, community and cultural development.

The Institute's philosophy is holistic, person centred and psychodynamic, inspired by the work of Carl Rogers, Martin Buber, D.W. Winnicott, Carl Jung and others.

The Institute provides consultancy services to industry, Government agencies and educational organisations.

The Tivoli Institute offers a psychotherapy service with qualified professional therapists and a Psychotherapy Service at reduced cost with a senior trainee from the Institute's professional training programme. The average fee under the reduced cost service is €25 (negotiable) per one-hour session. The fee can vary depending on circumstances. The therapists all have considerable experience in the caring professions, or equivalent, and work under the supervision of the Institute's professional training staff. Sessions take place in Dublin city centre, Dun Laoghaire and in Galway city centre.
