The Sallows 3.07

Suspected development on the site dates from the 17th Century, with historical and archaeological clues linking It to the Garter Inn, an important overnight stop on the main Dublin to Cork road of the day. For most of the 19th Century it was the Church of Ireland Rectory and later was home to both a banker and a lawyer. The house fell derelict in the early 20th Century and then came into our family in 1930. The original house was known for its “atmosphere” and when Garry Gleeson purchased the house in 2005, it became his passion to recover and rejuvenate the house into a comfortable, healing, EMF free, group event and accommodation centre, showcasing the best that sustainable building has to offer.

The Sallows is ideally set up to provide accommodation for 20 people and facilitate group events be it cycling, walking, hill climbing, health seminars, extended family get togethers, or social events of your choosing. You will find everything you need in a friendly atmosphere with facilities such as dining/relaxing spaces and a large training room that is available for rent, a garden and a secure lock up to store bikes etc.
