The Old School House Pouldine is a new, privately run, graduate led Montessori school, Crèche and Wrap-Around Childcare Centre. Susan Flanagan B.A. (Hons) H. Dip is responsible for leading our team of dedicated, experienced & highly qualified child care practitioners. We cater for children from 6 months-12 years.
Our Crèche has been designed with a ‘home away from home’ approach. We have selected an excellent range of toys and materials for the children in our care. Our Crèche includes a discovery play area, relaxation area, private sleeping area, small animal sanctuary and aquarium. We offer a broad curriculum which includes: early maths, language, culture, practical life, exploring through sand and water, art, nature trails, music and drama. We provide hot nutritious meals for your child. Our aim is that your child feels secure and happy in our homely and educational environment.
Our Montessori Pre-School has been specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of the child. We aim to foster an early love of learning while also encouraging the development of the ‘whole child’. Our curriculum includes: early maths, music, geography, history, nature, culture, language, baking, practical life, drama, art and science. We also have an aquarium, vegetable patch, flower garden and small animal sanctuary integrated in our Montessori programme.
We offer before and after school care for primary school children. Our programme includes: homework time, meal time, play time and relaxation time. We provide classes in Music, Baking, Art, Dance and Drama. The children will also have access to our outdoor play area, aquarium and small animal farm.
