The Firhouse Singers 2.29

The Firhouse Singers is a mixed voice choir, 60 strong, established in 1976 by Ray Ryan. It rehearses every Wednesday night (8-10) in Scoil Carmel, Firhouse Rd., close to exits 11 and 12 on the M50. The varied repertoire includes popular music, songs from the shows, calypsoes, spirituals, and the occasional light operatic chorus. The choir has sung in such venues as the National Concert Hall, Castletown House and The Civic Theatre, raising tens of thousands of euro for charity over the years. New members are always welcome; ability to read music is not essential.
