Derived from "gastronomy", and first coined in when the first gastropub, The Eagle, opened in London, gastropubs always have an atmosphere which is relaxed, and a focus on offering an eclectic menu, prepared to the highest standards of the best restaurants.

Staying true to this format requires a menu that complements the assortment of wines, beers and cocktails that the gastropub has to offer.

Since opening our doors in October 2009, The Exchequer has gone from strength to strength. With two late night bars, lunch and dinner being served seven days per week, comfortable high seating, a funky dining room perfect for private functions and even a floating steel booth, we offer an environment suitable to any occasion.
