The Dinan School Of Ballet. 3.42

Over the years our students have performed with the Ukranian State Ballet and the Ellen Kent Opera Company, the Royal Academy of Dance and the Galway Arts Festival. Our television appearances include RTE's People In Need, the Late Late Toy Show, Sky One's Got to Dance and RTE's Pump Up My Dance. Students have also successfully auditioned for the Yorkshire Ballet Seminars, the Irish National Youth Ballet, the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company, Youth Ballet West and the Monica Loughman Ballet Company.

Our students have consistently gained high marks in exams with the RAD and IDTA and have won scholarships to summer schools with both the RAD and YBS, as well as several nominations to the International Theatre Dance Awards.

In 2012 our students won All Ireland titles in both ballet and theatrecraft in the IDTA All Ireland Championships as well as the perpetual shield for best choreography. We were also successful at the INDA solo ballet competition.

In 2013 our students won All Ireland titles in ballet, tap and freestyle with the IDTA and won five awards at the Irish National Dance Awards. One of our students was the overall winner in the ballet grades category at the International Theatre Dance Awards, held in Manchester, the first ever Irish student to win this award.

In 2014 our students won over 20 trophies and 25 medals at the IDTA All Ireland Dance Competition and two awards at the Irish National Dance Awards. Three of our students were also nominated for the 2015 International Theatre Dance Awards in Manchester.
In 2015 our students won numerous national and international titles in ballet and theatre craft.
In 2016 our students continued their winning streak with our most successful competitive year to date.

Locally we've been involved in fashion shows and fundraisers and we've performed with Ennis Musical Society and the Ennis Street Festival. All our students get to perform in our annual show in Glor and also have regular opportunities to take dance exams.
The school offers expert tuition to all levels from pre-school to advanced.
