Kevin Hogan, originally from Rathdowney, embarked on his hairdressing career in Dublin in the 1980's. At the age of 16 he began his training in David Marshall's on Dawson St. Bursting with passion and enthusiasm for his craft, within 18 months he was salon manager at The Workshop salon in Grafton St. The Workshop was David Marshall's diffusion salon aimed at a younger demographic. The Workshop was a favourite of Dublin's trendsetters due it's cutting edge hairdressing and fashion forward staff and clientele and 18 year old country boy Kevin Hogan was captain of the ship.
At 20 years of age he relocated to London to embark on a freelance career. Due to his contacts in London he quickly accumulated a large clientele. His time in London was both fun and inspiring. He was happy hanging with the cool kids and working at his own pace.
After a year he was headhunted by David Marshall to return to Dublin and manage the David Marshall Academy. Kevin returned to Dublin with a head full of creative ideas from his time in London and immersed himself in the roll of running Ireland's most successful hairdressing school as well as working as a session stylist.
In 1989 at the age of 22, Kevin returned to his roots and opened up his very own salon in his home town Rathdowney. He relocated to Portlaoise in 1991. Since then he hasn't looked back. His salon The Company has gone from strength to strength.
All of Kevin's team throughout the years have all been employed at junior level and trained by Kevin himself to ensure that they inherit his eye for precision cutting, his passion for hair colour and his high standard of client care. The Company Hair Salon has long been the premium hair salon in Portlaoise.


Our mission is to ensure The Company Hair Salon remains Portlaoise's premium salon for years to come through bespoke training programmes for each individual stylist, introducing a make up artist to the team and working with designers on many aspects of the business to take our client's experience to the next level.
