Details

St. Colmcilles GAA Club is a local Gaelic Club (hurling and football) serving the Donacarney, Mornington, Laytown, Bettystown, Beamore and the Dublin Road area of Drogheda. We are a voluntary organisation with a strong community focus and ethos, as well as a strong sporting history.Visit http://www.cilles.com for the latest updates!

In recent years we have seen a large upsurge in numbers which has not only led to much on-field success but which has ensured a thriving, dynamic and innovative club. As the longest existing club in the area, we command huge respect and standing in the Community. We are non-denominational and welcome all ethnic backgrounds with many of our younger players now of non-Irish national descent adding to a strong cultural diversity within the club. St Colmcilles was recently awarded Meath LGFA Ladies Club of the Year 2014 and was awarded Meath Community club of the year 2013 the year previous. St Colmcilles has been one of only several clubs selected to pilot the “How are you feeling today” program, promoting positive mental health with members of our East Meath community through daily activities and social clubs. St Colmcilles was recently mentioned in the Seanad (Dec 2014) for our participation in "How are you feeling today" as an example of how sport plays an important role in local communities promoting social interaction and positive physical / mental health.

Our programs include:

•Men’s Shed
•Exercise (Mobility) and Nutrition
