Our centre was established in 1996 making it one of Kilkenny's longest established full day care centres. This brings with it a wealth of knowledge and experience from highly qualified Childcare Practitioners to degree level.

We cater for children from 6 months - 12 years.

Our baby, Wobbler, Pre-Montessori, Montessori, afterschool and Naíonra rooms have been designed with a 'home away from home' approach. We have an excellent range of toys and materials in an ideal environment for positive learning experiences.

We have a private sleeping area and all rooms open onto an external all weather play area which facilitates all year round outdoor activities.

We provide hot nutritious meals daily.

We offer a broad curriculum which includes Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. This incorporates Communication, Well-being, Exploring and Thinking and Identity and Belonging.

Our Children engage in language, literacy and culture, art and crafts, messy and sensory play through water, sand and playdough, music, drama, baking and physical activity.

Our setting is designed to meet the holistic needs of our children. We aim to offer a fun environment that fosters freedom of expression, independence and an early love of learning through our child centred curriculum.

Montessori

Our Montessori has been designed to meet the developmental needs of the child. Our Montessori curriculum includes, early maths, music, geography, nature and the outdoors, art and crafts, history, drama, culture, science, language, literacy and phonological awareness.

Naíonra

Our Naíonra provides a unique learning and development opportunity for children through the medium of the Irish language, under the guidance and supervision of our Stiúrthóir. It is solely through the medium of Irish using the internationally renowned total early immersion model. We encourage our children to acquire Irish naturally through the medium of play.

'Cuireann ár Naíonra 'Tus Maith' oideachas réamhscoile ar fáil le deiseanna foghlama agus forbartha den scoth trí mhean na Gaeilge, faoi theoir agus maoirseacht ár stiúrthóir. Díríonn ár Naíonra ar fhorbairt iomláin an pháiste trí mhean na Gaeilge amháin. Baintear úsaid as an modh idirnáisiúnta lántumadh luath, ionas go mbeadh na páistí in ann an Ghaeilge a shealbhú go nádúrtha trí mhean an tsúgartha.

Afterschool Sevice

We offer before and afterschool care for Primary School children. This programme includes homework time, meal time, play and relaxation time. Our children also engage in music, baking, art, dance, drama and group projects. The children also have access to our outdoor playground.
