the lantern is a traditional fish and chip shop based in a small village called fethard coolmore is also based just a few minutes away which they are famous for there horses in many parts of the world..the lantern used to be a pub many years ago which used to open one day of the year so they could keep there licence..it is now run by a man called filippo sabatini also know as sparky that came to ireland at the age of 16 years and is still working in the chip shop buisness at the age of 55 years..he came from a place in italy called ponte melfa atina and nearly every italian that came to ireland or england many years ago they all came from the same place or only a few miles away from eachother..
