Sligo social Services provides a wide range of support and care services for individuals and families in Sligo,our Services Include:

Social Work:
Counselling -in relation to a range of personal issues.

Information, Advice and Support on family related matters as well as welfare issues and entitlements.

Groupwork Programmes:
Woman Awake Groupwork Programme supports women who have been affected by abusive relationships

Helping Hands for Children Programme promotes confidence and self-esteem and empowers children to identify their own support networks.

Family Support:
Childcare ...Two preschools for children aged 3 to 5 years old and an Afterschool Project available to local primary school children.

ION (Identification Of Need)..Early intervention for children, young people and families

ABC (ABout Children)...Family support service offers tailored support to meet the needs of individual children and their families in their own homes.

Supporting people Who Are Out Of Home:
Emergency Accommodation...for homeless men and women at Maryville Hostel, Finisklin, Sligo

Ballytivnan Short-Term Accommodation....fir up to 6 months for single men.

McAuley House....Short-term accommodation for families at Charles Street Sligo.

Resettlement, Tenancy Support and Sustainment......supporting households that are at risk of becoming homeless to sustain their home.

Substance Misuse support.... Supporting People with Substance Misuse difficulties through individual and groupwork activities.

Supporting Older People:
Meals on Wheels Service - is available to the housebound, elderly, disabled and other people who are unable to provide a hot meal for themselves.

Children's Services Committee Co-ordinator:
Through the CSC Co-ordinator we support the work of the children's services Committee whose role is to secure better outcomes for Children.

In addition we also have our Thrift Shop - Selling excellent quality clothing and Bric-a-Brac on Harmony Hill and a Basement Shop at Sligo Social Services Building on Charles Street.
