Permanent makeup is a fast-growing part of the health and beauty industry.

WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKE UP?

Permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing. Also known as Micropigmentation, permanent makeup procedures have been successful undertaken for many years by both celebrities and busy women, creating makeup looks that last.

HOW ARE PERMANENT MAKE-UP PROCEDURES PERFORMED?

Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using a state-of-the-art machine designed specifically for the cosmetic market, which is very different to conventional machines and inks used in conventional tattoo clinics.

The treatment lasts around 2-3 years and are carried out in accordance with strict health and safety protocols using single use sterile needle cartridges. Your technician will offer you the very best treatment, which will be both subtle and effective.

PERMANENT MAKE UP AND WHO BENEFIT

For perfectly balanced and shaped eyebrows, for a lipstick that stays put and for non-smudge eyeliner, permanent makeup is every woman's answer.
Coloured pigments are implanted into the skin to replicate makeup up last 24/7 , creating a beautiful and fresh look that lasts all day, every day, slowly fading with time.
Whether you are 18 or 88 , we have a treatment that will not only simplify your makeup up routine, but will improve your confidence, self esteem and overall look.
We are to create a subtle change that will have your friends guessing your newest beauty secret...

WHAT TYPE OF PERMANENT MAKE-UP PROCEDURES CAN BE DONE ?

Permanent Cosmetic procedures can be very subtle or dramatic depending on what you are looking for.
Options include:
Eyebrows
Eyeliner, Top and Bottom
Lipliner, Lip Color, and Blend
Scar Camouflage, Beauty Marks, Hair imitation, Lash Enhancement, and Areola Repigmentation

HOW MUCH DOES PERMANENT MAKE-UP COST ?
Advanced work may be charged at €150 to €250 per hour. The cost of the procedure should not be the most important issue when consulting a potential permanent makeup professional. Most important is the training and skill of the person performing the procedure and the confidence of the client in that skill.
A permanent makeup technician who is using proper sterilization, good equipment and has a professional facility will not want to be the lowest priced person on the block. They will invest their funds for sterile and sanitary business procedures, for proper insurance and for professional forms and surroundings. A low cost person will not have all of these or they would not be able to “give away” their services.

HOW LONG WILL THE PERMANENT MAKE-UP LAST ?
Although pigment molecules stay in the skin indefinitely, the colour remains visible 1-2 years. This varies depending on your age, skin type, colour choice and lifestyle.
As with traditional tattooing, you are choosing to make a commitment to a permanent makeup procedure. For optimum results you should expect to attend a colour boost session every 18 months.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

Everyone is different but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort is minimal.

DO I HAVE A CHOICE ON PLACEMENT AND COLOUR ?

Definitely! You are consulted every step of the way from desired shape to colour selection.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ?

The initial procedure will generally take approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours;
there are records to establish, photographs to take, desired design and color to discuss, the procedure to perform and the aftercare requirements to discuss.
Follow up or color refresher procedures usually do not require the same amount of time.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER PROCEDURE ?

Immediately post procedure the area treated may appear swollen and the colour will appear darker and more intense. This will last for several days . Complete healing can take up to six weeks for the pigment to mature in the skin and the colour to emerge.

CAN I REMOVE OR CHANGE MY PERMANENT MAKE-UP ?

The removal of permanent makeup is not an easy process, if at all possible. That is why it is important to select a qualified and experienced professional who has a conservative approach. During the initial application, a “less is more” philosophy works best. A lighter, more natural color can always be changed or supplemented later with conventional makeup. It can also be adjusted or darkened if necessary with another application at a second (touch-up) appointment. Shape can also be refined at a follow-up visit, but not drastically, so a good original design is a must.

ARE PERMANENT MAKE-UP IS SAFE ?

If proper sterilization and disinfection guidelines are met, permanent cosmetics should be completely safe. Professionals in the permanent cosmetic industry routinely attend Occupational Safety and Health Administration classes to become well versed on safety principals.

IMPORTANT Things To Look For:

All Needles should be new and sterile for each client. Unopened new and sterile needles should be opened in your presence.
Disposable sterilized one-time use machine parts should be purchased by the artist, and disposed of in a sharps container immediately after the procedure has been completed.
Personal protection equipment such as disposable one-time use aprons and gloves should be new for each client and changed during the procedure when needed.
The technician should be clean and neat.
Disposable one-time use chair/bed covering should be new for each client.

WHAT OTHER PROCEDURE ARE AVAILABLE?

Micropigmentation is used extensively in the medical industry for areole pigmentation, scar camouflage, scar and burns relaxation, skin graft re-colouration, scalp camouflage and hair simulation tattooing, surgical scars such as face lift or arm/thigh lift scars, breast uplift / reconstruction scars, cleft lip.
