Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Drogheda 3.72

The Order of Malta Ireland is part of an International Organisation working in over 120 countries, with a heritage stretching all the way back to the Knights Hospitallers who were brought to Ireland in 1174 whose mission was to 'serve the sick and the poor'.

In 1934 the Irish Association or the Order of Malta Ireland was established and four years later in Galway in 1938, we launched the first Order of Malta Ambulance Corps providing first aid, ambulance and casualty services to the local community.
