One for Ireland is a nationwide fundraising movement that is targeting to raise €1 million for Youth Mental Health over one weekend. In doing so, One for Ireland will give the people of Ireland the chance to give €1 to charity from 28th April-1st May 2017. However with awareness and understanding, we want the impact of each person go much further than just €1.

Currently 1 in 5 young people in Ireland is going through difficulty with their mental health. That's over 300,000 people! Also shocking suicide is the number one killer of young men in Ireland, before road deaths and cancer. With your help will help to provide youth oriented care, support, facilities and campaigns. We can create a generation that is more compassionate and capable when it comes to mental health.

By bringing together all the mental health charities in Ireland for the first time, creating a new advocacy movement and funding solutions based on our own unique research and insights we want to lower the atrociously high suicide figures in Ireland.

One for Ireland wants to integrate charity into people’s everyday lives. From April 28th-1st May, when customers are paying for their goods in any retailer, they will be asked “Would you like to give One for Ireland?” The customer then has the option to add ¤1 to whatever they are purchasing. One for Ireland will run in over 1,500 stores nationwide and, along with donations through mobile, online and social media, One for Ireland hopes to raise €1 million on the day. One for Ireland is the first national campaign of its kind. We wanted to create a new fundraising model where, as opposed to seeking large sum from a small amount of people, we ask for a small sum from a very large amount of people.

We will divide Ireland into 8 regions and ensure a percentage of the funds raised will be assigned to each one so that this campaign for mental health is felt both locally and nationally.
