The Misunderstood Heron is the idea of Kim and Reinaldo, one local and one not so local, who's dream has always been to open their own business in the wilds of Connemara.

Dreams are now coming true with a unique food truck serving locally sourced and wonderfully tasty meals at one of the most beautiful locations in Ireland.

Situated along the Wild Atlantic Way, near a signature viewpoint on Killary Fjord, we want to show the wonderful flavors that are surrounding us as well as share our knowledge of Connemara's best destinations, events, activities, walking routes etc.
