19. As part of Westport 250 celebration for 2017, we launched new Westport Children’s Festival from the 6th to 9th of April. This Festival titled Mac Luí is intended to become an annual legacy project, hence the name Mac (meaning son of) and Luí derived from William Neeson, the architect tasked with planning the town of Westport 250 years ago. This festival will include an array of live performances, workshops and exhibitions that will strive to nurture children’s creative intuition and give a unique insight to how children see the shape of the world around them.
