LIA Hairdressing 3.2

LIA Hairdressing established over 9 years ago by Lia and her husband Stephen having moved from Liverpool with their young family to the picturesque town of Drumshanbo, County Leitrim.
Lia has been working nationally and internationally within the hairdressing industry for over 25 years and has a vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of Hairdressing.
Lia started her career at the age of 14 working on Saturdays in her home town of Liverpool at a prestigious Salon. By the age of 17 her commitment to the profession seen her gain City & Guilds and qualify as a Stylist , not seen before by her mentors. By the age of 19 Lia became a qualified assessor and trained all staff in House,
Alongside salon work and her training commitments Lia was part of the L'ANZA European Art Team which involved creative designs for the Catwalk and on stage demonstrations such as Salon International (Wembly) in front of thousands. Other work involved many magazine shoots including assisting with North West Hairdresser of the year finalist Alan Henry which resulted in her being talent spotted by the industries international bible 'The Hairdressers Journal' for talented up & coming young hairdressers. Lia was 1 of only 4 Picked in the whole of the UK & Ireland .Lia through her unique creativeness achieved front cover status on 'The International Hairdressers Journal' a dream for most stylists on her first ever individual photo shoot whilst working alongside UK 'Hairdresser of the the Year winner Mark Hill -1999'. Following this success came other media and magazine work including fashion editorial in BLISS Magazines millennium issue.
Other notable experience include back stage hairdressing for 'Celebrity Star in Their Eyes', working backstage on Radio 1's (UK) Live concerts hairdressing on many artists/bands hair, Working with and alongside L'ANZA American Art Team on launching new range of techniques and products in the USA.
Lia is qualified as a lecturer and gained a certificate of Education from Manchester University(2006). Lia also has a certification in Health & Safety.
