At Leeson Park School of Music we provide professional tuition of the highest quality in a nurturing and encouraging environment, where the talents of each child can be fully developed according to their potential. We are committed to the principles and ideals of music education as put forward by the great Hungarian composer, philosopher and educator Zoltan Koday. He believed that music was for everyone, that the foundations of all music education should be based on singing and that in order for it to be successful music education should begin at an early age. With this in mind our Music Kindergarten programme provides introductory music classes for parents and children from 3months upwards. Our instrumental training, which usually begins around 6 years of age, is very child centered in the early stages but is capable of taking students to the highest level of performance on their chosen instrument and where appropriate students will be prepared for entry to third level music institutions.
