Landscapes of Revolution Archaeology Project 2.6

The Landscapes of Revolution Project is a non profit research initiative of Rubicon Heritage Services Ltd in partnership with the Center for Historic Preservation at Middle Tennessee State University. Initially, it aims to identify, interpret and map archaeological sites associated with the War of Independence between c. 1919-21. The pilot study is focused on the area of operations of 4th Battalion, Cork No. 1 Brigade up to the July 1921 Truce. This area roughly corresponds to East Co. Cork. A key part of the study will involve local community engagement, with opportunities for local volunteers to both assist and contribute towards the project.
