Mike McAuliffe of McAuliffe Trucking and his transport manager Declan Mangan established Kerry Truck Sales in 2001 to represent DAF in the Southwest of Ireland.

The fact Mike and Declan had a wealth of experience in the haulage industry made them ideal candidates to establish their own sales, service and repair centre. Their indepth knowledge lent itself to establishing a main dealership.

As truckers they were able to evaluate the relative strengths and weaknesses of the garage trade in the region. They were also able to put into practice, the type of operation they would be happy to deal with as hauliers.

Based at Fahaduff, Castleisland, the company is well placed - geographically and strategically - to take advantage of opportunities in the local market.

The company operates from a modern premises on the same site as McAuliffe Trucking. In line with best practice the workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and manned by an excellent team of mechanics.

To keep abreast of all the technological advances in the market Kerry Truck Sales’ mechanics receive ongoing training from DAF.

The company also has a fully stocked parts department on site managed by Davy Corkery who is a mechanic himself. In the unlikely event that a part isn’t in stock, Kerry Truck Sales operates a Vehicle Off Road (VOR) service, which guarantees delivery of the part to Castleisland early next morning.
