Kearns Fruit Farm 2.88

Kearns Fruit Farm was established over forty years ago on the family farm at the foothills of Mount Leinster. Originally started by Pat Kearns, we began growing fruit for jam production and canning back in the 1950's. The farm has now developed into a large family run business producing and growing for the fresh fruit market. It is now run by Jim, Susan and son Noel.

Being in the fruit business for many years Jim has been representing the fruit growers in Wexford and at a national level. When 99% of all fruit grown was for the former Chiver's factory in Enniscorthy, he was chairman of the Wexford Fruit Growers Association. He is also a founding member of Wexford Fruit Producers ltd., a former I.F.A. chairman for Horticulture and is at present the National Chairman of the Irish Soft Fruit Growers Association. His ambition is to try to ensure a constant presence for home produced berries on the supermarket shelves for most of the year.

With all our experience, we strive to produce the finest quality strawberries, raspberries and jam and are An Bord Bia quality approved (www.bordbia.ie), members of the Good Food Ireland initiative (www.goodfoodireland.ie) and all of our produce is guaranteed 100% Irish.

You will also find our produce in shops such as Avoca Handweavers (www.avoca.ie) and other wholesale outlets.

You can however also buy direct from our farm outside of Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford and all visitors are welcome. Fresh and frozen fruit is available on the farm, where you can also buy fruit for jam and juices.
