The O’Sullivan family acquired the property in 1992 when it was developed and reopened as a 46 bedroom hotel. Hodson Bay Hotel has gone from strength to strength throughout the years with numerous extensions being added to become the 4* hotel as we know it today. The most recent of these was the addition of retreat at Hodson Bay- an adult only area, The Spa at Hodson Bay and a new state of the art Leisure Centre in 2005.

There are currently two areas within the hotel, Hodson Bay Classic which is the original part of the hotel with 123 bedrooms and retreat at Hodson Bay, an adult only area with 53 bedrooms. The hotel is well-known as a wedding venue, corporate venue and leisure destination with a capacity of 1400 delegates for conference and meetings.
